As castas que se encontram na vinha do Ujo são as antigas castas tradicionais do Douro.
Rui Cunha
Manual harvest. Manual selection of curls. Stalk and gently crush the berries. The fermentation of the grapes takes place in new 500-liter French wooden barrels. After a period of maceration, the resulting wine continues its aging for 16 months in 225-liter French oak barrels. We carry out a light bonding and later bottling. All of our wines are sealed with natural cork. The wines are neither filtered nor stabilized by the cold so they can give rise to a precipitate with age.
Intense and deep red colour. The impressive aromatic freshness of this wine takes us to an orchard of bergamots, fresh wild aromas, as well as floral and mineral notes, showing a complexity and depth In the mouth it is unique, impressing with its finesse and beautiful integration with wood. Long and persistent. It presents a great tension
